How to have iPhone prompt again for SIM PIN

When I turn on my iPhone 8 plus (still with ios 11), it asks me if I want to unlock the sim. Since I don't do that very often, I have to go and get my notes to find the PIN. When I come back, the display has gone dark, and when I grab the phone it comes on with the message "SIM locked" (or similar), but I cannot find any way to have it prompt me again for the pin to unlock the SIM.

So I power it off and on again, but that takes quite some time. Is there any better way?
