iPad Pro battery drain at night

Good evening And thankyou for your reply’s in advance.

in short, at night when my iPad in in sleep mode, I can go to bet with 80%, then come back it when I finish work the next day and have between 15% and 18%. This has happened 3 times in the last 2 weeks and starting to really bug me.

Acording to the battery section in the settings app it says that my screen is turning on at midnight and the then not turning off, but this doesn’t add up with the app data on the same page.

Ios so is all up to date, if tried hard resetting it but it just seems bizarre to me, also it is set on a 2 min auto screen lock, with a folding case that shuts screen down when it’s shut.

any ideas or help with this will be a great help

Hello Hothatch01,

Thanks for choosing Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, it seems that at night when your iPad is in sleep mode, it seems the battery is draining more than it is charging.
Based on the activity stats you provided, it seems like you possibly have the Background App Refresh enabled which does still draw on the battery even in locked or sleep mode.

Follow the steps in the article below, specifically the section about Background App Refresh.

thanks for the reply.

I do have background app refresh on, but only a handful of apps are enabled in it, and none of these have changed over the last few weeks.

I don’t understand what you mean by “the battery is draining more than it is charging”. When this occurs the iPad is not on charge, but it loosing 70% of its battery in one night is not right to me, also the battery data provided shows that the screen is physicly on, top section the screenshot, but in the bottom section the home and lock screen are only on for 1 minuet.
