iPad Pro 11” dropping WiFi or so it seems

New iPad Pro just loses connectivity to internet/WiFi for no obvious reasons many times a day - all other wireless devices on the same WLAN function correctly while I have an issue - what’s up with that?

This is a consistent problem when the Apple USB-C to headphone adapter is plugged in and the iPad goes into Sleep Mode. When the iPad is awakened, the Wi-Fi loses connection. Unplugging the adapter restores Wi-Fi connection after a few seconds.

I tried replacing the Apple USB-C adapter and even returned my iPad Pro 11 for a new one. The same problem occurs.

Brought my iPad Pro to the Apple Store located at Apple's Cupertino Headquarters for an exchange 3 days ago. Showed a rep the problem on the iPad. We were able to consistently reproduce it, even after a factory reset. The rep logged the problem and said the iPad will go to a developer for analysis.

I'm sure by now Apple is aware of this problem. How motivated they are to fix it is another question. I'm sure Apple would be happy if wired headphone customers bought new wireless AirPods as a solution to this problem. BTW, the new iPad Pro that I brought home has the same problem.

My wife is experiencing WiFi disconnects on a new model iPad Pro 11 inch. The disconnect lasts just a few seconds then is ok. My iPad Pro 12.9 inch model has not had this happen.

I've had her switch from WiFi provided by an AT&T Wifi router to an Apple Airport Extreme that is ethernet connected to the AT&T device to see if the problem presents via that device. I have also restarted the AT&T device.I also have an iMac with 10.14.3 using WiFi to the AT&T router and don't think it loses its WiFi connection, and a iPhone Xs also uses the AT&T WiFi with no drops that I have noticed.

All the devices have the latest version of iOS and macOS.

Similar experience here, Larry. My iPad Pro 11” is connected wirelessly to a Linksys router which is Ethernet connected, although the source is an AT&T WiFi router. It is a 5Ghz wireless connection. My other devices (both PC and Apple) connected wirelessly to the same router do not have this issue, although they are mixed 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

I have the same problem where my iPad Pro disconnects, and then I have to go in and reconnect it manually or wait several seconds for it to realize that it has disconnected. All of my devices are on the latest versions of o/s software.
