iPhone Xs Screen (Yellow) vs iPhone X

Morning/Evening,

It looks like I received my iPhone Xs yesterday and indeed was excited.

(Camera Sensor and I finally got 256GB of storage I wanted)

When driving home last night, it felt like 'True Tone' was on when it was not.

I tried every step (Auto Brightness - White Points - Etc.) and compared it to my iPhone X; the screen looked like hot garbage. Yellows were bleeding through, and the screen is way warmer. (Which after a year of use, I'm more in tune with blues)

I understand that Apple is no longer using Samsung to manufacture OLED displays. LG has moved in and another unnamed company at the moment.

But my question is, has anyone noticed this? It also seemed that my brightness level was at least 15-20% dimmer on full brightness.

I did try color filters to match my iPhone X, but nothing can honestly compare to it. I put both phones on a table with the same email and asked my co-workers: "Which screen do you prefer?" They all selected my iPhone X.

Look, there's nothing wrong with warmer tones or switching manufacturers. But it just seems like a downgrade, and that is why I returned my phone.

Apple, I love you, but the price tag should have a vivid display. I felt like I was using an LCD again.

Nothing malicious by this but even Verizon employees were like "you're completely right."

I did try another unit in-store too.

Anyone else experiencing this, as I know, there is two screen types floating around?
