Computer Name is greyed out

Hi,

At setup time, my MacBook Pro autonomously choose the name "Giovanni's MacBook Pro (2)", this is because when I did the setup I was still using my older MacBook and the name "Giovanni's MacBook Pro" was already in use by the older MacBook. Fair enough.

New MacBook Pro: "Giovanni's MacBook Pro (2)"

Old MacBook: "Giovanni's MacBook Pro"

I now gave away my older MacBook and I want to use "Giovanni's MacBook Pro" for my new MacBook Pro.

I tried to change the name from "System Preferences" -> "Sharing" -> "Edit" but the Computer Name field is greyed out, and I'm only allowed to change the Local Hostname (see screenshots below).

I also tried to change the name using the command line systemsetup -setcomputername, but the name does't change (see Terminal screen shot of get/set/get operation).

In all attempts, when I open my iCloud account, I always see the MacBook apperaing with the old name:

Is there a way to change the greyed out Computer Name?

MacBook, macOS Mojave (10.14.1)
