After upgrading my OS to Mojave and also updating my MS Word, I now can't enter Chinese characters into my Word document. I'm using either Pinyin - Simplified and Pinyin - Traditional to no avail.
iMac, macOS Mojave (10.14.1), MS Word for Mac (MS Office 2016)
Does this only happen in Word? Not in Mail, TextEdit, Pages, Message, Safari?
What happens exactly when you type something like “wo” using simplified pinyin im?

I think you should ask in the Word forum. Make sure to tell them the number of your Word version (like 16.16 or whatever) found in Word > About MS Word
that's how it showed, when I clicked on the highlighted word (我）， it becomes 'Wo' (see below)
