1)Close Final Cut Pro X

2)Run Color Finale from the main /Applications folder

3)Go to ColorFinale menu then down to 'Check for Updates...

4)Run update

5)Install and relaunch Color Finale

6)Restart Final Cut Pro X

That should fix the problem. I looked here because it just happened to me now.

Color Finale Website says:

Warning: Updating to the newest version of FCPX v10.4.4 will disable Color Finale.

Color Grading Central is working on updating Color Finale with a fix for this problem.

Color Grading Central states: "We sent out an email yesterday [Thursday] morning advising Color Finale owner's to wait on updating to the latest FCPX v10.4.4 We have an update coming in the next week or two to address this."

Hello,

I already contacted CF. Below is what they said :

"I can give you previous version of Color Finale but it won't work

with FCPX 10.4.4 as Apple have changed they way how our plugin is accessed.

You either need FCPX 10.4.4 and Color Finale 1.9.x or previous version of FCPX and previous version of Color Finale."

Obviously I need to upgrade to Metal GPU..

"Yes if you do that you should be able to upgrade to Mojave as

it required Metal compatible GPU as well."

These are my mac specs. annnnnd ... I just read this: "Apple's new macOS Mojave update is not compatible with mid-2010 and mid-2012 Mac Pros with stock GPUs, but it is supported on 2010 and 2012 Mac Pro models that have been upgraded with graphics cards that support Metal." on macrumors. This is weird because I keep getting a pop up that wants me to upgrade to mohave. So basically I won't be able to get color finale to work?User uploaded file
