Mojave screen glitch - white boxes/distortions following pointer?
I recently updated my Mac (Pro, mid 2012) to OS Mojave and have had numerous issues ever since. I've been able to solve most of them, but recently I have been experiencing a very strange screen glitch. When I hover my mouse over links/buttons/anything click-able (e.g., bookmarks icons), there are small white boxes/distortions that glitch in and out behind the pointer -- see attached screenshots. I've also experienced the occasional larger visual glitch, with similar white bars/distortions flashing in and out on the screen when I click links or close an app.
I thought at first it might have been an issue with Firefox, but I checked and experienced the same issue in Google Chrome and Tor, etc., and the issue began immediately after I updated to OS 10.14.1. I booted in Safe Mode and tried resetting NVRAM after reading about similar sounding issues in Apple support forums... and I'm not sure how to proceed! Has anyone run into a problem like this/anyone have any suggestions?
