I got a bunch of files on my extern harddisk that I want to listen to, but I don't have Logic anymore. Can I open them w GarageBand (or any other free software)? 🙂 Thanks!

Works fine for me, I just made an audio file in Logic, exported it to my desktop, then dragged in into Garage Band, no problem!

While you cannot open the logic projects themselves, you can get to the actual audio files by right (control) clicking on the logic package and then show package contents. It won't have all the mixing and mastering work you did but at least you'll still have the audio files themselves. Those you can put in garage band or pretty much anything else.

Audio Files (like wav, mp3, aiff, flac) tend to be compatible amongst all audio programs - Logic project files are not - they are exclusive to Logic. The question is about Logic Project files.
