Microphone

For some time, I have been experiencing problems with the microphone within social apps such as Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat: that is, the microphone records audio at a volume that is barely audible. This issue seems to only be limited to social apps, specifically when it comes to features such as live stories or broadcasts. The problem doesn't occur within Apple's default Camera app, when I rec some audio, or even within third party camera apps like Moment or Camera+.

Does anybody have any idea what's going on, or how to resolve these issues? I have iPhone x
