I have been using Lightroom CC classic to edit my photos, and I have a large collection of photos stored in folders. I would like to move everything to Apple Photos. Is it possible to import current structure, the folders into Photos as albums?

If you have set of nested folders with Photos, you can import them into Photos 4.0 as folders and albums. Select the containing folder, when you use the command "File > Import" in Photos.
In the Import panel enable "Keep folder organization".
Thanks, leonie - can you explain one other importing option? When I 'review the photos to import', there is a box with options to chose between "import to library" and "import to new album". Do you know what the difference is?
When you select "Import to Library", the folder with the imported albums will be at the top level of the album section and you can use the option "keep folder organization".
But when you select"New Album" or any other folder, you cannot use the option "keep folder organization". Then the imported photos will be in the album of your choice.
