Iphone xs lock screen, number3 not responsive

When my iphone xs failed to recognise my face, i need to enter passcode, sometimes number 3 is not responsive. Is this common issue or just me? I had same issue with iphone x and had returned it.

Iphone 11 not locking Hi, I got my new iphone 11 yesterday and it doesnt lock, even though I have turned on passcode and face id. It just says swipe up to open. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Ren
