Fixing chipped/ dented edge of lid on MBP?

Hey guys,

So today while I was about to open my 2015 15" MacBook Pro, I noticed a small dent on the edge of the lid. I have no idea how it got there because it was in it's case before I took it out to use it. It's very small but it still irks me because the rest of the body is in perfect condition and I have to see this dent every time that I close or open my MacBook. Is there a method to fix it myself? I currently don't have an Apple Care so taking it to Apple wouldn't be an option for me. I've only had this MacBook Pro for 2 months and this small dent now makes it look like i've had for a lot longer, and I hate it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks.User uploaded fileUser uploaded file

There really isn't a way to fix it yourself; you may take some silver paint and VERY carefully cover the dent with a tiny amount of paint, but that is about all. The lid is more than just a lid - it contains a lot of parts besides the screen. And, you said this is a 2015 you've had for two months - where did you buy it? Was it used?

Is there a specific type of paint that you would recommend using? I wanted to get a 2015 version because I preferred it over the newer models and since Apple stopped selling the 2015 version, I had to resort to getting a used one. I ended up buying it off of Ebay from a legitimate seller who regularly sells MacBooks and Apple products. Upon arrival, I inspected it and saw no dents - only minor scratches underneath - and everything so far has worked accordingly without any suspicious dysfunctions.

No, sorry, I would not know what to recommend. And, the reason I asked about having bought it new or used is that you cannot buy Applecare for a 4 year old used computer. I'm glad it's working for you; ebay sellers are not known to be all that forthcoming - personally, I tried to buy something there twice and got badly burned both times (e.g. a Mini advertised as "new" was filthy, used, and had a user account set up and the seller refused to return the money; my credit card company finally did).
