Live Photo as wallpaper on iPhone XR

Fix this bs , how this phone cost so much and don’t support the Live Photo’s wallpaper I was looking forward to using it this is pathetic

So why won’t it work for a wallpaper but it works in my camera roll. What’s the difference??

Well can’t apple make an up date on doing it because I have the xr and I want to go that but I can’t and I am sad so please apple make an update so we can

wym it doesn’t support 3D Touch that’s how you turn on the flash light at the lock screen

why can I not set a Live Photo as wallpaper on the lock screen on my iPhone XR

I miss that feature too; I should have never traded in my 7 🤦🏾‍♂️

So what do I do

It can't be added with with an iOS update. Live Wallpapers work on other iPhones because they feature 3D Touch. The Xr does not. 3D Touch is hardware. It requires a pressure-sensitive layer underneath the screen. How should this be added via software?

And the flashlight / camera icon on the lock screen works with Haptic Touch which is software.

It would be possible for Apple to enable haptic-touch based live wallpapers but we don't know how the final iOS 13 will look like on the Xr. We are not Apple, just Apple users like you.

I tried too but i didn't find a way to set live photo as a wallpaper on the lock screen.

live photo can be used from 6s and Xr does not support this. Is too shame.

Absolutely pathetic that it’s not supported. Clearly it’s possible based on the numerous other ways 3D Touch is compensated for on the Xr. I’m really disappointed for this. I loved opening my phone to a loved one smiling and laughing at me. Very sad apple did this terrible thing. Bring it back please!!!

But we're already at 12.1.2 and at the moment it doesn't work on XR iphones....

I agree. I really hope that apple fixes this in the next update. I was really looking forward to using it and now I can’t.
