Until recently I haven’t had a problem pairing my jbl speaker with my iPad to listen to music. I have sound coming from the iPad , it’s only when I turn on the speaker that the headphone icon appears. I looked up the problem , but it seems opposite of what I’m experiencing. I have sound but not with the speaker.
First, check to see if your device is updated to the latest iOS version: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Then if you are fully updated and after a regular restart the problem persists, I'd like you to try all the steps from the following support article:

Thank you for your reply. I followed the instructions for pairing and had no problem but still no sound. Played around with the music site I use and finally got the sound back. I think it was the sites problem all along and not my iPad or speaker. Thanks for the help.
