I have a spreadsheet on my MacBook that I put in the iCloud. It now shows and works on my updated iPad and iPhone 6+. It shows as an icon on my iPhone 5c {software 10.3.3}, but when a I click that icon the response is:
"Can't Open Spreadsheet
To open this spreadsheet , use
Number on a newer iOS device, or
use Number on iCloud.com in a Mac
or PC browser".
Is there a way to access this table {spreadsheet] on my iPhone 5c?

I called the Apple Genius Bar. They said with the newest upgrades once I added to a current spreadsheet ion my updated devices it would not be viewable on my non-updated iOS iPhone 5c. That appears to be the truth. For me, case closed.

a couple of options to consider, install a copy of Numbers on your iPhone and open from that application.
Install Office on your iPhone / iPad and open with this application
If it is a spreadsheet that does not change often, print it and use save as PDF, you can then open it with Books
