My BRAND NEW MacBook Air is stuck in the setup process on the welcome screen. What to do?

Press and hold down the Power button until the computer shuts down. Wait 30 second then restart. Use the fingerprint button on the top right of the keyboard as the Power button.

Brand new MacBook Pro Stuck on Setup Setup is stuck on "Reticulating splines..". I left it overnight and no change. I did a hard reset on the laptop and I get the beginning of the desktop and then back to the same stuck on setup. I tried to the following method as well, but same behaviour: First of all, power off the machine. Once you have powered off the machine, plug the Mac into a power source. With that done, press and hold the Shift + Control + Option keys simultaneously. While you are holding these three keys, press and then release the power button of your Mac. Once done, you can now release the Shift + Control + Option keys. After that, you can power on your Mac again to see if the problem has resolved. Any other ideas? Thanks in advance.

No. Your suggestion did not work. First, there is no fingerprint button in the top right corner of my keyboard. Secondly, it is stuck and keeps asking me about if I want to use VoiceOver. I think I am just going to take it back. Something that cost this much money should not be this big a hassle.

Does it have a Power button? If so then use it as in the instructions.
