Audio popping at loop point, but only within Final Cut Pro X

Hey all,

Really not sure what's going on here. I have audio that I've set up to loop perfectly. And it does loop perfectly... As long as it's not in Final Cut Pro X.

I bounced out a 24 bit 44.1k .wav file from Logic Pro X. I moved it into Final Cut. I positioned the playhead exactly at the end of the file (with snapping on), and then pasted the file again right there. I listened back, and there was a pop right at the loop point. A little weird because I thought I had done everything properly, but I've messed this up before, so I didn't question it. I bouncde out a new file with a new name, and double checked that it does loop properly first. Moved it into Final Cut, paste it... Same thing.

So I decided something might be up, and started trying to figure out what could be causing this. I rebounced the track a third time, still a pop. I made a new project within FCPX to see if the other project file was somehow corrupt, that didn't fix it. I imported the track into LPX and tested the loop by copy/pasting it... And it seamlessly looped. So I brought it into audacity. Also seamless. Brought it into FCPX again... Once again, a pop right at the loop point. I zoomed in really far to verify that I placed it in the correct spot. I seem to have done just that, and grid snapping was on. Although zooming in, the very edge of the last frame of the file did look slightly odd, but I figured it was just a slight bug from me zooming in so far (it wasn't the waveform that looked odd, just the box around it). I verified that I was in fact using a .wav file, so I don't think that's the issue. In fact, all of my LPX bounce settings look okay to me, I didn't leave on the audio tail thing, which sometimes messes up a loop point.

I decided to pull in another track that I know has worked in FCPX before. I listened to the loop point, and it was fine. (???) I pulled in the problem file again, and of course there was still a pop. I made sure I pulled the file out all the way on both sides. I opened it once again in logic to verify that I'm not going crazy. I looped the file by pressing L, and it looped fine once again.

I've probably made over 100 seamlessly loop able audio files in the past, and I didn't change my process to my knowledge. I've made probably around 40 videos this way, and it has never caused me problems in the past. Does anyone have any clue what could be going on??

Thanks for reading!
