audio loops

Hola fuzzfilth,

I can dig that. I have to admit it was pretty dumb not knowing about the ibooks app. I don't know much about rockets either. But to my defense, I can build scenes and models in Lightwave 3d, and tear my C3 Corvette completely apart down to the crack shaft, and put it back together again. We all have our little fortes.

I did get the Logic manual working in ibook and have read quit a bit of it and found answers to most my questions in the recording section. I have been using the auto record and it works fantastic for what I am doing.

But, there is always a but. I got cocky tonight after a little wine and smoke and decided to record a song. It never happened because I ran head long into another problem. I spent an hour in the manual trying to solve it, and never could came up with the answer. It was really a great way to wreck a Friday night. Hopefully with your in depth knowledge of Logic you can solve my mystery.

I could not for the life of me, get apple audio loops to output to the speakers. My recorded vocals worked great. Midi was wonderful, it functioned fine with both my usb keyboard and the apple midi clips. When I loaded an audio loop, silence. The blue audio loops worked great in the library, key changes, everything. The volume fader shows it playing on the track, but no audio out put the the speakers?? I would love it if you could give me a hint why? Wz/DWP

I saw three missing items I did have turned on. The stereo out, track off/on button, master volume slider.

None of which make a difference except you should see the Stereo Out at all times in the Mixer. Show a screenshot of your Mixer including output routings of audio Tracks, MIDI Tracks and dragged-in 2 bars blues bass.

Wondering where you are at. Most likely the bay area.

Ei vonder vot makes yu sey sett. I em from Germany.

Hola Fuzzfilth

Thanks for the illustration. I saw three missing items I did have turned on. The stereo out, track off/on button, master volume slider. I fixed that and play the loop. Still no audio out to speakers, also no activity in the master volume slider, stereo out or master volume.

The 12 bars blues bass show activity no its volume sections. Midi shows activity and plays on master slider and speakers. There seems to be a disconnect in the loop section between in and out. There must be a button somewhere to change that. I couldn't come up with it.

Wondering where you are at. Most likely the bay area. I'm a refugee from the golden state. Joined the back to the land revolution in the '70s'. Have a BA from San Jose State, long time ago, when you could pee off the big bridge. Now you can't pee off the bridge, but you can crap on the streets. That funny. Times change. Wz

Still dealing with no output from loops.

Fired up another machine that had Logic X that was install almost three years ago. This machine has an Aug 2019 copy. When I pulled up the same blues guitar loop it didn't play on the older download, but instead of controls, I got a promp in the track header that there was no audio output. I clicked on that, and another promp came up saying that the problem could be solve in preferences. I was beginning to think I had a bug. But if the preferences promp was true there is a button somewhere to fix the no output thing.

The odd thing in the early 2018 down load was that some of the apple loops played. The blues guitar wouldn't, but farther down the line some loops played in the master output and on the speakers.

My next step is to see if third party loops play. I have quit a few on cds I used on the big project, but none loaded on this machine yet. I haven't been out to the studio storage to hunt them up. Hopefully you guys will know what button the promp was asking for in Preferences. I when through and couldn't find it? Then again, maybe I have corrupted loops? Wz
