Good mail goes into junk

I consistently have a problem with good email going into the junk folder even though the sender is in my contact list. It even happens with emails from my wife. Any idea what is causing this problem and how to fix it?

Mail version 11.5 and Mac is running High Sierra 10.13.6.

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)

Is it being colored a light brown or yellowish color. If so, go to Mail Preferences, Junk and reset the junk filter.

If not, then your email provider is marking them as spam and you need to fix that with them.
