How can I add a bullet point list in Numbers on iPad?

How can I add a bullet point list to a cell in Numbers on iOS, using only the on-screen keyboard?

I found Numbers for iPad: Format lists in a Numbers spreadsheet but that doesn’t work for me. I’m not sure what I’m missing!

The reason that is not working for you is that numbers is not intended to be used to house lists inside the individual cells, you store one value in each cell of a list typically.

the link you are referring to states "Double-tap the text box or shape where you want to add a list." (emphasis mine).

It is intended for if you needed to communicate with the end user and used a shape or text box to do so, but wanted to include a bulleted list.
