iPad keyboard

I am having difficulty using the magnetic keyboard With the latest iPad Pro. I need to type in two languages, often in the same email, message or document.

I bought the English layout, and with a desktop iMac and MacBook Air, I simply select the alternate language memorize the accent marks and type seamlessly.

Can someone offer some insight so that I can solve this frustration?

There’s a button on my Smart Keyboard that does rotate through the languages and let me choose the right one. Then any on-screen keyboard is correct, and the spelling corrections / auto fill is correct. But when I try to type from my keyboard it just keeps giving me English! Obviously this doesn’t happen with laptop keyboards. Is there a way around this, or is Apple just trying to take advantage of the fact the Smart Keyboards come off & force us to buy multiple? That wouldn’t be very sustainable…

Magic keyboard language settings I have an ipad pro and a magic keyboard in a Swedish layout. If I set the language on the ipad to English In documents and emails, messages etc it assumes the keyboard is an English layout so the key functions all change. This was never a problem with my laptop where it would recognise the keyboard layout and then everything else could switch between English or Swedish with no problem. Is there a fix or is this something we have to live with until the tech catches up? Thanks

Typing Accents Using iPad Keyboard (not screen) Hi, I understand that one simply holds a key down to generate optional versions of that letter, including accented versions, but that applies only to the on-screen keyboard. If using an attached keyboard (Spanish qwerty), an instructional video suggested the work-around ALT+ (eg, ALT+160=á) but this does not work for me. How do I generate Spanish accented letters on an iPad v15.4 using an attached keyboard? Thanks in advance for any help, Stephen

Normally you should be able to change keyboard layout via Control plus Space. Does that not work ok?
