Which USB-C to HDMI-dongle should I use to transfer MacBook Pro to QHD 60HZ Monitor?

Hey,

I was wondering which USB-C to HDMI dongle is best to use when I want to connect my MacBook Pro 2017 13" with a QHD (1440p) 60HZ Monitor. Should I use a Apple-product, or should I look for a third part dongle.

And a side question, since I'm frankly new at setting things like this up - does the sound from my Macbook transfer to the speakers of the monitor when connecting via HDMI.

Thanks for the help

That is up to you. There are 3rd party dongles that work as well or better than Apple's own.

If you set the Sound option to do that it will. See here: Connect to HDMI from your Mac - Apple Support
