Default App for RSS "feed:"

Whenever I try to open an RSS feed such as "feed:https://itmattershowyoustand.com/comments/feed/", MacOS attempts to open the feed with the NEWS app which does nothing with the passed link.

is there somewhere that one can set a different app to open it?
