Is there an iPad equivalent to Task Manager in Windows?

I have a new 2018 sixth gen iPad. Something is causing the CPU to run between 60%-90% for long enough to make holding the iPad uncomfortably hot. I would like to identify the process or processes causing it and, if possible, terminate it/them. I may have had the same problem with a iPad Air 2 that I replaced with this new iPad in the hope of solving this. So, is there a Task Manager-like app that will list all processes?

Thank you for the suggestion. So, according to this, the app using the most battery over the last three days is the Apple App Store. Unfortunately, this information may not be helpful because this doesn't tell me instantaneous battery usage (so I could identify the specific process as it is occurring) nor does it seem to display any processes running as root (so I could determine if it is an OS problem).
