How you you disable the bluetooth music autoplay on an iPad?

Is there a solution to this annoying “design feature” yet?

I have been woken up several time because I have forgotten to switch off bluetooth on my iPad before going to bed and left my hifi on and my iPad has suddenly decided that the bluetooth signal is strong enough to connect.

WORST.... I was at the end of critical recording in GarageBand when someone in my entourage switched on an audio device with which I had already paired. The Music app. suddenly started blaring away, ruining my recording.

Surely Apple’s clever software guys can put a setting switch on this feature?
