Tool Bar and Dock

I have done something so the tool bar at the top of the screen and the dock at the bottom are hidden until I click in their respective areas. How to change?? thanx david

You've probably switched an app into full screen mode. Depending on your macOS version, move the cursor into the upper right corner and look for a pair of arrows in a blue box and click that and if you don't see arrows in the upper right in a blue box then move the cursor to the upper left corner and look for the red-green-yellow buttons and click the green button. The blue box with the arrows is the older full-screen toggle, the green button is the newer toggle and the latter works on at least High Sierra and Mojave.
