Mouse and keyboard keep disconnecting

Ever since I installed MacOS Mojave (now 10.14.1) I have been having trouble connecting the Apple mouse and keyboard. Both had always been working fine (over a year).

Now they don't connect or lose connection when the mac wakes up. Sometimes they reconnect after a few minutes.

I have tried all the obvious thing like deleting the bluetooth list in Library/Preferences, but the problem hasn't gone away.

Sometimes it works, then the connectivity fails again.

A reply to a previous post about this suggested to restart the SMC, which I did and which solved the problem at the time. (the post was then marked as solved so I have to re-start the thread). However, it happened again today, so the SMC restart didn't seem to have been a permanent fix.

Is there anything else that can be done?

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), macOS Mojave (10.14.1)

Hi everyone ..... HAVE SOLUTION ...... most likely.

There is another forum on here, somewhere that I ran across.

The problem is the Android File Transfer app ..... everyone that was having the bluetooth disconnecting, etc. just deleted this app and everything went back to normal, and working .... including me.

I restarted after deleting just to make sure, but I've been problem free for over a week now ..... others MUCH longer!!!

Seems like Apple is having "old stock" problems too, since the keyboard/mouse aren't made at the same time. Procurement and order processing very rarely get to talk to engineering, but perhaps a memo would be nice. Yeah, someone at Apple engineering is in CYA mode, or maybe they just didn't think it would cause a problem (Testing? Who needs testing?)

To Apples's shame there is no direct way to transfer files. But as Android users usually have a Google account, photos are backed up to Google's photo cloud (https://photos.google.com). You can up-/download those files to your Mac via a browser. There are options regarding the size - original or compressed.

I have not found a suitable app to do the same directly with iCloud.

I am SO TIRED of people referencing that worthless support article. Nothing in that addresses what is obviously a deeper problem. Since so many people are asking this question, there must be a bug or something that needs to be reset to solve this.

I do have this issue. It only appeared after upgrating to Mojave. I have been using my Bluetooth trackpad and keyboard for two years previous to Mojave and no issues

I have the same issue. Only started after the Mojave update. Wish I had left it alone. Mojave is very buggy.

My system is 10.14.2 and I've got the problem with almost hourly occurrence.

If it were a hardware problem, I would have had it since when I got my iMac with bluetooth mouse and keyboard, but it started only with Mojave.

fingers crossing did not help. it still occurs in 10.14.3 :-(

Thank you for the hint. Beta release of 10.14.4 did not resolve the issue.

it is getting worse over time, now the mouse is no longer connecting at all.

We are using an iMac Retina (27") from 2017 and it is the same behaviour. Meanwhile in 10.14.4 Beta (18E184e) and it is still occuring.
