I want to update my software, but I doubt the shortcomings, fearing there will be an injury to my cellphone, please explain what the advantages and disadvantages are if I update the software without changing my cellphone.

As you can see, you are already at the maximum iOS your phone is compatible with, so you cannot update. The current iOS version is 12.x, so you are two iOS versions/years behind with a 10.2. That means there will no longer be any security updates, but your phone should keep working as is. Some time down the road, your browser will no longer work because websites have updated, so you won't be able to access the internet.
