Mystery app in iPhone 5s?

An app icon showed up on my iPhone 5s that I didn’t recognize. I had just signed up for family sharing with my daughter and thought it might be something she downloaded on her phone (since realized it doesn’t work that way). I touched it to see what It was, it did that clock thing that happens when downloading from the App Store then dissapeared. What do you think? Did I install some malware? Should I do a factory reset?

You can't install malware on an iPhone unless you previously jailbroke it. What did it look like? Sometimes an app update will not complete right away; that may be what it was. But go to the App Store app, tap on Updates, and it will list recent updates with when they were updated.

The icon was black with a couple of lines of little marks kind of like a radio dial band and there was no name under it like normal and why would it disappear? I couldn’t find it in the list of apps in settings or in purchased apps. I searched both mine and my daughters. Possibly it was previously jail broken. I bought it from Entouch Wireless as a reconditioned phone. I’ve had it about a week and a half.
