Where is the list of NVIDIA Quadro Cards that Support Metal like the PNY Quadro 4000 for Mac Edition?

I have been doing my own testing of Metal supported GPU. On top of the list of AMD Radeon products, I've found some older PCIe NVIDIA cards fully compatible as well including:

NVIDIA Quadro 4000

NVIDIA Quadro 5000

I will be updating this list if I find more NVIDIA compatible cards. I suspect that a NVIDIA Quadro M4000, Quadro K5200, Quadro P4000, Quadro P5000, NVIDIA Titan X, NVIDIA GTX 780, GeForce 8800GT, and NVIDIA Titan Xp would also be fully Metal compatible, but I've not verified that in macOS High Sierra or macOS Mojave.

Since legacy NVIDIA Quadro PCIe cards are built around the OpenCL environment, they will allow Mojave to load, but are hardly fully compatible. Apps like Apple Motion or even Apple Messages do not display properly. It seems NVIDIA/Apple has abandoned support for legacy products. NVIDIA Quadro 4000 for Mac and NVIDIA Quadro 5000 do not display properly for all apps. For these legacy PCIe graphics cards best to downgrade to High Sierra for better performance.

I will be trying out a NVIDIA Quadro K4000 card next to see how it works in Mojave and report back soon.

The NVIDIA Quadro K4000 (PC version) works extremely well. Unlike the Quadro 4000 Mac Edition, I could not detect any anomalies in performance using this series of PCIe video card in Mojave. As the NVIDIA Quadro K5000 Mac Edition is listed, I suspected full support as well.

My next card I'm testing is the Sapphire AMD Radeon RX 470 PCIe video card, which is often available under $100 online as a data mining video card. It's limitation is a one DVI output instead of multiple display possibilities (HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.). Will report back soon.

There is quite a lot of supplemental information on Wikipedia, which is where these links came from:

On macOS, Metal supports Intel HD and Iris Graphics from the HD 4000 series or newer, AMD GCN-based GPUs, and Nvidia Kepler-based GPUs or newer.

AMD links:

GCN is fabricated in 28 nm and 14 nm graphics chips, available on selected models in the

Radeon HD 7000

HD 8000

200

300

400 and

500 series

of AMD Radeon graphics cards. GCN is also used in the graphics portion of

AMD Accelerated Processing Units (APU), such as in the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One APUs.

NVIDIA links:

Kepler was Nvidia's first microarchitecture to focus on energy efficiency. Most

GeForce 600 series

most GeForce 700 series, and

some GeForce 800M series GPUs were based on Kepler, all manufactured in 28 nm. Kepler also found use in the

GK20A,

the GPU component of the Tegra K1SoC, as well as in the

Quadro Kxxx series, the

Quadro NVS 510, and

Nvidia Tesla computing modules.

Kepler was followed by the Maxwell microarchitecture and used alongside Maxwell in the

GeForce 700 series and

GeForce 800M series.
