Yes, same issue with iPhone X Max. I can hear the call fine, but my voice comes and goes as we talk. Works for a short time if I switch from the phone back to Phonak, but that is a pain. Need Bluetooth fix on iPhone.
I just heard (2/7/2109) from my audiologist, who says that Phonak will have a firmware fix to be released the week of February 25, 2019 that is supposed to fix the communication issue with iPhone XS. The release is in a software program audiologists use, called Target that allows them to update firmware in Phonak devices.
Check with your audiologist and make an appointment to have the firmware updated. Hopefully all of us on the "bleeding edge" of Phonak's technology will get the performance we were promised when we purchased.

Phonak seems aware of the problem. I hope it will be fixed by the end of the month (Feb 19) as I go through the same problem.
I had the firmware update yesterday, March 22 and it did not cure the issue with my XS and Phonak Marvels. I did same steps as Jean-louis128 but my phone still does not stream a phone call through my hearing aids. My voice is either never heard by the person on the other end of the call or my voice drops out soon after call is connected. I have made another inquiry to Phonak tech support.
I have the XS
also using the marvels with my iPad Pro (2018)
a pain to forget and re pair eveytime... but I did figure out that you only need to pair with one HA (the dominant/HA that you and your audiologists picked)
I have an iPhone 10XR. My Phonak Marvel 90s revert to Bluetooth whenever I get any notifications on my phone. I also have an Apple watch. Phonak tells me that unless I turn off all notifications and disconnect my Apple watch, this is just going to keep happening. I can't get the hearing aids to stay on Autosense or any of the custom programs. Is anyone else aware of this issue? Phonak seemed unconcerned about it.
Apple Support suggested deleting the Phonak app and reinstalling it. I've done that but it doesn't seem to be helping. This is so frustrating! I didn't have this issue with my iPhone 8. The issue is that it goes to Bluetooth (say for a notification or a phone call) but it doesn't return to the program I'm using such as Autosense. I just don't know what to do at this point short of turning them back in to Phonak (I have another week on my trial period).
your audiologist is the only party who can answer that inquiry about the latest firmware update. However in practical terms if phone calls stream through the hearings aids without dropping your voice you almost assuredly have the update with the correct bandwidth setting.
My trial version has the February update, and it's still not working
I dropped a comma, reconnecting went with the dominant hearing aid.
Same issues...hope they fix soon as my trial will run out in February
Can someone from @apple weigh in on our Bluetooth issues with Phonak Marvel?
i would like to know we hearing impaired customers are being heard😄
My Phonak Marvel hearing aids steam music perfectly to both ears using an IPhone 6s. They also stream phone calls perfectly to both ears. Failure to do so is a major defect. I was planning to get a new iPhone but will not now do so until I receive reports this problem is fixed.
Exactly the same problem, and nowhere can I find that phonak mentions this. I chose the Marvel specifically because of the streaming option only to find it doesn't work with my iphone. Very serious defect, hope it will be fixed soon.
Same problem with voice out dropping or not conecting to XS. Hoping for fix by mid Feb. Nice thing about Phonak (when it gets working) vs others is hearing aid mic inputs your voice to phone and you don’t have to have phone out to speak into phone mic, just nearby as opposed to Resound, etc
My Marvel trial period is up and I switched to Evoke hearing aids. I like them much better! A lot better app with all kinds of customer settings and the instead of bluetooth it connects to the iPhone via MFi. Taking phone calls are a pleasure, easy and clear. Glad I had the problem with Phonak iPhone phone connections, it casued me to find a much better hearing aid.
Hello Bjschaef. Thanks for your testimony. I am exactly in the same situation and my audiologist ask me to wait for the update of Phonak. But I also have the possibility to get Evoke 440. Are these the one you got ? What advantages did you find ? Is it a problem that you need to hold the phone close enough? I am really wondering if I should ask for a change right now.
Thnaks for your help!
Francois
Has anyone moved to the Phonak Marvel and is able to converse via the phone connectoon with an iphone XS? Thanks.
