I just heard (2/7/2109) from my audiologist, who says that Phonak will have a firmware fix to be released the week of February 25, 2019 that is supposed to fix the communication issue with iPhone XS. The release is in a software program audiologists use, called Target that allows them to update firmware in Phonak devices.

Check with your audiologist and make an appointment to have the firmware updated. Hopefully all of us on the "bleeding edge" of Phonak's technology will get the performance we were promised when we purchased.

the Phonak app is different bluetooth communication so it is not surprising that did not help. I presume you have tried turning off the dominant hearing aid, forgetting that device in iPhone settings, bluetooth, and reconnecting and resetting iPhone network settings too?

Do you have the latest firmware update installed with fixed bandwidth?

You should notice a difference in your hearings aids when they change from bluetooth streaming to autosense and vise versa. I can tell when my aids automatically change to autosense after , e.g., I stop the Apple Music app. You should be able to notice that even if your app still "says" you are in bluetooth streaming (If I understand correctly) then logically when you manually select Autosense 3.0 there would be no difference. try removing everything and forgetting everything and rebooting phone and then reloading everything again. Beyond that show your audiologist what is happening, they can contact Phonak directly and ask audiologist to verify the latest firmware update was installed with fixed bandwidth. Good Luck.

Was at audiologist for follow up to getting my marvel. We talked through some bugs with them but she ended up calling the phonak rep. Rep said it's a both and situation. Yes phonak releasing firmware update when releases marvel with telecoil but apple is also releasing an update for the X phones.

It's semi related because my XS was having issues even with just hand set with audio cutting in and out. So I'm believing this will get sorted out soon.

I'm also reminded that this is not unexpected for being early adopters of new tech. Frustrating for sure but There's gonna be bugs.

I received the Hearing Aid firmware update today March 6, 2019 for my Audeo Marvel via my audiologist. Update to the 6.0 which everyone has been waiting for. Sadly, the exact same issues remain. The update didn't help with my iphone XS Microphone works only on and off with a call. Only half the time when using Siri. So frustrating. I will be returning my Audeo Marvels this week. Love these HA but this microphone, bluetooth connectivity problem is a deal breaker for me.

I have trialed Marvels with iPhone 7. I found that Phonak has kicked the iPhone users to the curb in order to grab Android market share They are using two versions of BT, Classic an Low Energy to get this to work. The one Aid will always show more battery usage because that is the primary BT connection to iPhone and the BT low energy talks to the app. Unlike MFi the Marvel is similar to having a BT earpiece for your phone. Any sound or notification coming out of the Phone will go into your ears. The only way to stop this is Turn Off all your Notifications or Turn off BT and only use it when streaming or calling. Touching your phone to make a call or look up something also Mutes the aids thinking it will be streaming or calling. It also conflicts with Apple Car Play with the Lightning connection. I loved the hearing performance of Marvel but the the BT shortcomings were enough to return them. If they had two versions MFi and MFA I would buy the MFi units in a second. Clunky interface with 3 phone connections.

Rush to be first to market MFA.

Phonak Marvel rechargeable m90 will not maintain outbound link to iPhone XS. I can hear caller, they cannot hear me. Initially works, they drops after less than 1 min. Have been told it is Apple vs Phonak app issue. Both pointing to each other. Supposedly my audiologist say fix coming in Feb 2019. Believe it when it happens. Very dissappointed in my investments in both Apple and Phonak.

Thanks to all of you! I did what Jimeg had suggested and reset my network settings. I deleted and reinstalled the Phonak app. So far today, it's working! If it stops working, I'll go to the Sprint store this weekend and see what they can do. Unfortunately, there is no Apple store where I live, but I think the Sprint tech folks, armed with the information you have provided me, can help. But so far, so good!
