Has anyone else come across a Mac Book Pro shutting down as soon as the power cord is pulled out. Batteries say it is fully charged. Bought it in November 2006, has been fine, 'til last week. Wasn't dropped or knocked in any way. I updated the firmware. Anything else to try? Help!!
macbookpro dual 2.16,
Mac OS X (10.4.8),

Actually, mine is the CoreDuo, not the Core 2 Duo- confusing terminology- so mine is a little older. I purposely put that in there to see if that was maybe the issue.
Thanks Ned, checked the link, read thoroughly, followed the instructions, but still no luck. Still powers down as soon as the power cord is removed. Won't start without it in. Hmpf.
Called Apple today, went through the resets that I had already perfromed with no luck. It is assumed to be a hardware issue so I have to take it to the service centre for a full check.
