Hi,

Previously to this update I was using "feisar" plugin which was working perfectly to sync my K800i.

Yesaterday evening I made this update for iSync and removed feisar's plugin from the MacBook Library.

Now, when I sync with the K800i, everythings seem to be ok for 20 seconds.. sending contacts.. and it always finish by: (translation from the french error message) "An Error occured while collecting data from the phone.... "

I tried the following steps:
- remove/add my K800 from the device list
- initialize the k800 (ended up with an error message)

It's very important for me to be able to keep in sync my phone an my mac.. What should I do?

Can I go back one version of iSync?

Regards

I have the same problem except I was using the plug-in from http://www.novamedia.de/sync/

After updating to 10.4.9 (with the combo) I got the same message as shown on the feisar page above.

I removed the plug-in and then iSync launched fine. The sync works for about 4-5 seconds and then stops with the message " [k800] There was an error getting data from the phone. The synchronization may have been cancelled on the phone. Device "k800" synchronization failed". The phone says "Session failed".

I deleted the phone from iSync and re-applied it and then ran the 10.4.9 combo update again, but still no joy.

Thanks Jools, I will try that.

I can't help feeling, however, that there may be something else causing the problem. Their plug-in isn't in the system now and I've checked that the 10.4.9 combo updater has updated iSync to version 2.4.

Interestingly, I found a posting on the Salling site http://www.salling.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=19667 from someone who had a similar problem a few weeks ago (not iSync, but Bluetooth connection).

Jonas Salling had a suspicion that a recent OS X update caused problems on some systems by sending out notifications (to those apps listening) that the Bluetooth hardware has gone away, at which point the connection is dropped).

He suggested waiting to see what 10.4.9 did. Ironically, it seems to have broken iSync (for me at least)...

Did the update to 10.4.9. Opened Isync and it listed a number of Plugins that were not working and needed removing from the Plugin folder in Library, no choice but to do this otherwise Isync could not launch.

Took 10+ plugins out and then Isync opened. It found the Nokia E61 and Nokia E6680 devices I use but failed to establish the Bluetooth connection.

Outcome ISync still broken. Frustration........
