Just to add my $.02, the 10.4.9 update killed my ability to sync my SE w600i as well. All other services with the phone still work fine, just no isync.

For those people having syncing issues with Apple's official support for the Sony Ericsson K800, K790, K610 & Z525 in iSync 2.4, and wanting to return to using the Feisar iSync plugins, we have devised an alternative solution:

Please see this page for a free downloadable application which allows you to disable Apple's support for the K800, K790, K610 & Z525 and therefore re-install and use the Feisar iSync Plugins, you previously used.

Hello Julian,

Sorry to jump in that train, but do you think the sonyericsson Z610i will be soon support (I just bought it and can still give it back, but only for a few days)

if it is a question of weeks it is ok .. if it will be supported in more than 6 months than it is not good

Well, it took Apple over 8 months from the K800i's release to add support for it in iSync. So, you could be in for a long wait. They've only just released iSync 2,4 with Mac OS X 10.4.9, and this is likely to be the last update before Leopard 10.5.

I do know for a fact, that Apple are less likely now to add support for specific phones, and are encouraging third-parties (inc. the phone manufacturers) to create Phone Plugins themselves.

So, I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Apple support for a particular phone.

I tried that as well. I had a new k800i. First try, yes all new contacts will be syn from mac to phone. But ha. You add some new contacts on the phone. And try to syn back to the mac and the phone hangs up.

Still scratching me head. I believe it the phone's firm ware that is causing the problem. As isyn is still working/running and it is the phone that hangs up.

Was using Bluetooth. I was hoping using USB it might solve the problem but looking at the forum it seems hopeless.
