Apple TV doesn't seem to work with my HDMI Switch. Tried every combination of cables. Tried switching all devices on and off at different times. Googled to see if anyone else has tried a switcher with Apple TV. All I know is: PlayStation 3 works just fine running through the switcher. Apple TV doesn't work at all with the switcher, only when plugged directly into the TV.
I only have one HDMI port on my Samsung HDTV and two HDMI devices (PlayStation 3, Apple TV). All my component slots are full and I already have a component switcher that's full, too. So HDMI is the only option for me.
Any ideas? Switcher claims to support HDCP... and it does do HD resolutions (PS3 displaying in 720p).
I have an XtremeMac Switch with Belkin Pure AV cables and it does not work with Apple Tv. It perfectly works with my ADSL Tv decoder (same Belkin cable) and DVI->HDMI cable (no brand).
I had problems with a couple of switchers but then found a OPPO HM-31 for $84. It works great, and I like that it automatically switches between the active HDMI inputs.
Just got a cheap switch from radio shack, and works like a charm. Even was able to make my logitech ONE remote switch to the right input when I turn on apple tv.
yep, i gave up on the XtremeMac switcher. I strongly recommend NOT buying it.
I felt like I got ripped off since they are selling it as a perfect match with the AppleTV.
