EPSON R270

Hi,
I'm trying to install the drivers for the printer Epson Stylus Photo R270.
I plug the usb on my iMac when the process indicates me, then opens a windows with a button to add the printer to printer list, and detects it, show the printer but it can't find a proper driver so it doesn't add it to the printer list.

Any suggestions?

Definitively is a tough one.

I tried your suggestions, but it keeps me giving headaches.
Even enabling root user tells me I need more privilegies.

Obviously there's something wrong with this specific printer and OSX.

I'll call the Epson Support Service and see what they tell me. Then I'll post the answer from Epson.

Although not related to this Topic, you might find the info here How to post a link (URL) in "Apple Discussions", useful for future posts.

As a courtesy to the Discussions Hosts, if you implement that technique, there won't be a need for them to edit your links. This will alleviate their tedious workload.

Hi,

I've just done an Archive and Install.

I didn't update OSX to 10.4.9 to try if that update could make any problem. But it did not install the drivers.

Then I tried reseting the printers system and no my friends.

The Epson Service just told me that "it should work because they test it".

A clean install could be an option to solve this?

But the problem was on the logicboard, it was replaced and now the printer installs with no problems.
