HD DVD question on toshiba HD a2

(Sorry for the repost, I posted this question on FCP forum but didn't get much of a responce so I thought of putting it here. It is more of a DVDSP issue anyways. Again sorry, and thanks for any help you can provide.)

Hello everyone, hope you are all enjoying your week.

Ok my issue is this. I burned a HD DVD through DVDSP. Now the video plays perfect audio and all. My only issue is the menu. I made a menu in motion which I later put in FCP and added audio to it and exported. I then used compressor and compressed to HD DVD mpeg2. I then put in DVDSP and burned the whole thing. Now when I put it in the toshiba the motion menu plays but I can't see the bottons so I can't select anything and the audio doesn't play. Any ideas? (I set the menu to 1920x1080i)

Also: I had done a test before without audio just a basic menu on DVDSP and I just typed in play. That worked fine I could see the highlight bar and select no problems. Now on this one I did basicly the samething except I added audio, motion background and I have it loop intead of still at the end of the menu. Could any of those things make a diffrence? Thanks..

huh?, Mac OS X (10.4.7), none

Yes, the way you make a menu. With layers etc, whats your workflow? Basicly is what I want to know.. Because the way I make it for sd isn't working on the HDDVD on toshiba a2. I'm thinking its the way I am going about it.

Workflow:

Make a motion project then export.
Import into FCP add music and export.
Compressor then export using mpeg2 HDDVD option 1920x1080.
Import into DVDSP add into menu as background then go over to shape templates of DVDSP and select highlight bar then drag and drop(making it a botton)over the menu and placing it right where I need it.

This way has always worked for me in SD but it now doesn't work in HDDVD in toshiba a2(You can't see the highlight bars or bottons whichever you want to call it). I tried using a template menu that DVDSP has and it worked great. Now why won't my other one work(the one i created)?
The motion menu plays perfect but when its done and the bottons are supposed to appear they are not there.

Thanks

instead of relying on DVD SP to render buttons and button highlights for your motion background, make your own button overlay.

Create a 4 bit 1920 by 1080 image file. Use red, blue, and black for the parts you want highlightable, and white for everything you want transparent.

bring this into DVDSP and assign it as the overlay for your menu. Now draw boxes around the buttons. Adjust the colors for the buttons under the color tab.

Assign navigation and targets and you should be good to go.
