Safari 3 crashes everytime it opens.

I have windows XP Pro and I downloaded Safari 3 because I am a Mac user and I wanted Safari on my XP machine. I crashes every time that I try to open it up. It pops up the box Safari has a problem do I want to send it to Microsoft. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I built the computer, Windows XP Pro

For those of us with older ATI chipsets the most recent 3.0.2 Safari for Windows beta fixes the problem. I didn't even bother to uninstall the failed 3.0 beta. I just ran the Apple Software update and installed the 3.0.2 version right over the original version that would crash as it attempted to draw the initial Safari logon screen. The new one works like a charmm (I'm posting from it now).

For those of you that are using Microsoft Live OneCare. OneCare's firewall is your problem. I found out that in the advanced settings on the Firewall tab it has two instances of Safari with permission. I disabled the oldest one and now Safari works great. Haven't had a crash in a couple of days. I am running Window Vista with OneCare. I don't know if it is the same with the regular Windows firewall.

Hi,

Same trouble :
Windows XP pro SP french at work on a Centrino
notebook.
Safari crashes while it opens.

I tryed to rename the en.lproj into fr.lproj as
advised, but no result.

A also removed MS-IE proxy settings and connected the
notebook directly to the internet, but not better.

See U,
TOM.
