Bold text issue

I would like to point out a font issue that seems to be distinct from the text issue most people have (as I'm not having it and my Fonts.plist file looks just fine).

On many pages, bold text is not displayed.

For instance, on news.google.com, headlines are all missing.

I know many people have this issue (search for "bold" in this forum and you'll see) but it's being obscured by the more serious "no fonts at all" issue.

Has anybody found a workaround?

Hey...

Just want to say:

Downloaded the latest windows webkit build from here today:
http://nightly.webkit.org/

Unpacked and ran the file:
run-nightly-webkit.cmd

And voila:
The missing bold fonts are no longer missing.

BUT!!!!

What actuall happens are that when I click the
run-nightly-webkit.cmd
then it opens a safari window where the fonts are working.

But when I click my safari icon on desktop and try from there then the bold fonts issue are back again.

Is there some files I have to change on the computer to see the changes from where I normally would launch Safari?

I just made a shortcut to the file:
run-nightly-webkit.cmd

and uses that instead of the normal launch link to Safari.

Then at least I can use Safari and I'm able to read text in the pages.

Safari still has some MAJOR bugs though.
Lots of serious issues with form fields... causes crashes.

Again: Is APPLE marketing department sleeping?
How on earth could this be released as a BETA?

If you read the information on the page where you downloaded the Windows version of Safari, APple lists several features that are coming soon, but not yet implemented. These are:

"Support for International users
International text input methods
Advanced text (contextual forms, international scripts)
Localized menus and help
NTLM support
PAC file auto-detection
FTP directory listings
Link to proxy settings from Safari (Safari respects the proxy settings in the Windows Internet control panel)
Cookie management
LiveConnect support
Tooltips
Spell checking
Printing page numbers, titles, margins"

As you can see, Support for International users are still on the too do list.
