My Iphone 5 "End Call" dose not work.

Same problem here! Apple store told me to do a complete restore and delete back up and make new back up. This crazy women in the apple store told me its caused from an app that I downloaded and said restore phone and use phone with only apple apps to see it it still happens. WELL YES IT STILL HAPPENS. I'm really getting sick of apple, been having nothing but problems. Another problem on my iPhone 5 is FaceTime and iMessage keeps shutting off automatically! And sometimes when I'm using the keyboard to type, letters get stuck and start flashing like crazy. Come on apple don't drop the ball! Get some people on this and make an update.

I also have the same End Call issue when Not on speakers, Every time now!!

End Call works fine if on Speakers (usually) 90% ;-) but I am having the same issue whether the iPhone is in the lifeproof case or not.

Apple, the screen flickers everytime I tap the End call and sometimes it goes into lock screen mode.

Same problem here, suddenly couldn't end call or turn off phone, after 4 months, unless set on speaker. I have Lifeproof case as well.

Just resolved problem by upgrading to 6.1 operating system which just came out. Downloaded upgrade through iTunes on computer, backed up phone first, then upgraded from computer.

End button now works when reaching a voicemail machine, with the Lifeproof case. I do hold finger on button to make sure heat transfers, maybe a little less sensitive through the case, but at least it works now.

After 2 days the problem is back as before. Can only hang up from speaker mode. Upgrade did not help.

Yep - the update didn't help me. When I called Apple, the rep told me the suggested fix is to tap the power button. It will end the call in one button push, but then it locks your phone, too. I'd rather switch to speaker then press end.

This is really an annoying bug that I hoped they'd work out in the 6.1 revision.

Update didnt help me either. iPhone 5 with life proof case. same issue with or without the case.

Ive ben using the speaker button then ending call also.

I have the same issue, 6.1 revision, cant end a call and also cant go to speaker. Only way Ive found to end a call is to press and hold power button and actually power down phone.

Only had my phone for about 3 days. Im thinking I should have kept my 4S cause this is frog ****. Come on Apple, PULL YOUR FINGERS OUT AND FIX THIS ANNOYING PROBLEM. please.

Add another scratch on the board. iPhone 5, 6.1, Lifeproof case, can't end a call using the End Call button. I have to tap the power button, which sleeps the phone. I would love to see this quickly resolved.

Just a suggestion to fellow Lifeproof case owners... I tested my phone End call (Not On Speak) problem with the iphone NOT in the life proof case and still got same problem.

May encourage Apple to look at the issue if you post whether the problem happens not using the case otherwise Apple will assume its a Lifeproff problem and not an Apple iOS problem.

That is correct. Mine did it before I ever had the Lifeprrof case and still does it in or out of the case.

I called APPLE and they said it sounded like the sensor was bad. Wanted me to go to an Apple store, 4 hours away so I didn't go. Still having the issue, getting annoyed more and more by this.

All these posts and no one from Apple chimes in with anything to say? WTH is that, not very good customer service if you ask me.

Thanks for the suggestion reddevildemo, but you'll notice through the thread that most people state that it's not a Lifeproof case issue as it happens in or out of the case. I did mention that mine is in a Lifeproof Case but it happens in or out.

Based on the number of complaints and other posts, this is obviously a iOS glitch or hardware problem. Based on the fact the screen is totally responsive outside of the app, I'm thinking software. Dear Apple, please advise.

My wifes on the other hand works perfectly, go figure.

Same issue - also in lifeproof case, but, again, doesn't seem to be the case - problems in the case or out of it. Also, this just started for me after the 6.1 iOS update.

Same issue before update the end button seemed to work on the far left side since update doesn't work! Very frustrating ready to go back to my Razor! Have tried ending while on speaker.

Double tapping seems to work on the far side of the button or works anywhere on button if you hit the speaker phone button. At least I didn't have to use barbed wire and duck tape!
