Why is fitness/friends sharing not showing on my watch since update (all friends show 0 activity/steps)?

My phone has not been showing my friends fitness activity for the past 3 days since 17 update. All of a sudden it’s just dashes. I restarted my watch and phone but still the same. Is this an isolated or widespread issue? When will it be resolved or do I need to do anything at this point? We compete and motivate each other daily so I do miss not being able to do so. Should I wait until the next update for it to reappear? Thank you

Same issue here. We've both updated watches and phones. I can see her fitness data, but she can't see mine. I can see mine on my phone, but it's not sharing the info with her.

Ugh. I just realized that their names are showing up, but not their activity. This is annoying.

Pretty major bug in watchOS 10.x and iOS 17.x. I haven't gotten any notifications for any friend's activities since updating months ago. I've disabled/enabled notifications for them, I've unpaired and re-paired them as friends only to see their stuff for a day and then have it be completely blank the next morning, and of course restarted the phone and watch multiple times. We're now at the x.2 tick for these OSs and the bugs remain.

MAJOR  FAIL

I reset my wife’s watch and gifted it to my daughter. She has been doing workouts. On the first day it shares, but the following day it stays at zero. When I remove and add I see the current amounts but the following day it always resets and remains at zero. Absolutely annoying. Same with my father in law something about the apple id

Same here! Been like this for weeks now.. Apple has no idea how to fix it also

Similar issue. Did all of the above, but friend is showing 0 activity on my watch, and after removing them and adding them back they are showing the same move numbers as right when I added them back earlier

None of this worked. Haven't gotten any notifications, have tried all the advice, nothing is working since the update.

I FINALLY fixed it by unpairing my watch and setting it up as a new device. Of course, all my data is gone, but that doesn’t bother me. It may work if you restore it from back up after unpairing 🤷‍♀️

I tried restarting both my watch and phone 3X and it didn’t fix itself. Very irritating.

Had the same issue for a few days now. Turning my phone AND watch off/on worked! It took a few seconds but loaded up like normal. I could always see my friends’ activity on the watch but it was the iOS app that was the problem. All is well now for me.

same here, it'll not updating on iOS 17.1.2... tried re-inviting and all but after a day it stops updating for a few of my contacts...
