iTunes 7.6 problems

I upgraded to iTunes 7.6 today. Now when I try to access the iTunes Music Store, iTunes hangs in the middle of accessing the store. It becomes completely unresponsive. Not even a force quit works to kill it, so far I have only been able to restart the system to make the program quit. I will see if I can find the process and kill it with a kill -9, but to this point version 7.6 appears to not be able to access the iTunes store on my computer. Anyone else with this issue?

Sounds to me like Apple may have released some software that wasn't quite ready yet. Wouldn't be the first time, but usually they are better than this.

Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.4.8)

I too want to add my voice to the chorus. Maybe if we all shout loud enough, the Hortons at Apple will hear us...

Checked System Updates last night and Lo & Behold, there were 2. An OSX update, and an iTunes update. Did them both & thought nothing of it until today when I started iTunes and... nothing. Starts up ok, accesses the store ok, but the music just won't play. In fact, there are no systems sounds at all- the volume control has even disappeared from the menu bar.

Helloo? Apple? Anybody there? For Pity's sake will someone acknowledge us!

Hi there

I recently updated 7.6.1 & now cannot open iTunes at all. All locked up. I'm a little afraid seeing that people have been posting about this SINCE JANUARY! After skimming these posts, I am going to try backing up the music library and reinstalling iTunes - someone posted a link to upgrade 7.5...
Has this worked for you? Since Apple are avoiding the question (it seems), I'd love to hear if this worked for you!

+Otherwise (as Arnie says) I'll be back+
