PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes

PocketMac has released PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes, an iSync add-on which allows users to synchronize contacts between the Address Book and Lotus Notes, and events and tasks between iCal and Lotus notes.

While bidirectional synchronization is standard, selectable options allow users to overwrite data in one environment or the other, ignore completed tasks or tasks older than a user selectable value, and to determine which data types will be synchronized. If you are familiar with e2Sync as an extension of iSync for Entourage users, you will find the interface of PocketMac GoBetween for Lotus Notes familiar.

Pricing is set at $ 24.95 and a copy can be ordered at the PocketMac page linked above.

I also reconfigured the client.

After that, sync runs without giving any error message. But still with no success.

When I try a "Two-Way-Sync" , I get the following:

[06:13:12.877] (
"Error: noteUpdate: (540) This function is inappropriate for file system directories."
)
(
"Error: noteUpdate: (540) This function is inappropriate for file system directories."
)

If I do "Overwrite iCal, no message appears but iCal is still empty.

"Overwrite Notes" is not an option.

Hey, guys thanks for posting here.

I am following the updates.

I put in a Sales Request some time ago and it seems the poor buggers are battling to maintain their workload.

@ PocketMac My Aussie company can help you with your workload if you want.

Anyway, please post a positive result when you get it - I am so tired of having to manually create my Cal entires from Notes 8.5 in iCal then Sync to my Nokia...

Cant wait for Notes to sync with my iCal.

And when the iPhone finally makes it to Australia - oh for it to sync with Notes (drool...)

Its interesting that absolutely nobody has been able to sync. I just purchased this software today and decided to search on my problems. If I am not getting an application error that GoBetweenLNISync crashed then I am getting a "failed to start Lotus Notes Server." error. Seems to me like the public is testing this code that might have been developed off-shore and not really tested. Very disappointed.

Also having issues but different problem. I'm using a MBpro and the Notes mailfile and address book are local.

I get the following error with every sync and nothing moves across either from calendar or address book (I'm not trying to sync to-do)

[06:43:49.807] ("Error: converting text to time.: (1036) Unable to interpret Time or Date")
("Error: converting text to time.: (1036) Unable to interpret Time or Date")

Raised support call today..

Sorry Dude - but this is still very manual for me.

I have be trying to get a script going - but no luck just yet.

I did however get a mail from PocketMac today

"Hello Luiz,

I apologize for the delay. This has been a very popular product, and we are now caught up with our inquiries for it.

Thank you for your interest. *Yes, it is compatible with Lotus Notes 8.5!*
"

So I guess I now want to find a person who has it working - the problem is that the people that come to this post are the ones with issues - and the ones that get it working - will never end up here. That means I need to either get a Demo or buy the product. Although it is not a massive cash outlay - it comes to the point of spending $$ on something that may not work.

PocketMac - make a trial available.

Update here when I get it working...

Hi all

Like you i bought this link between Lotus Notes and apple softwares.

I have the same problem to synk my to-do and calendar (even on a local replica, problem about a password...).

I can synk my address book (names.nsf), located on local but all names with accents (french : é, à, è, ë, ê, ù, ç etc...) don't sync correctly...

Do you have the same problem or this is only a wrong configuration in lotus notes ?

Thank you

Marc

Hello

Received a mail from GoBetween confirming that Lotus Notes 8.5 will work with their product.

Purchased GoBetween today.

Installed without a hitch.

Configured to sync with Server = Failed with the *Error: converting text to time.: (1036) Unable to interpret Time or Date*

Created local replica of Notes 8.5 on the laptop - configured PocketMac SyncMaster to look for and work with local replica = *Error: converting text to time.: (1036) Unable to interpret Time or Date*

Have now raised a support call.

I get this even if I just try to sync the address book or iCal on its own.

Not even trying to sync a device yet.

Any help would be great...yes I have a very experienced notes administrator that has checked all the date/time settings are set as they should be...

Dear All,

Found the solution for the password aborted by user error!!!!

In the security settings user setting you need to click on the "don't prompt for password by notes progams"

Now I have got the invalid date error. So not solved everything but hope my solution will bring everybody a step forward (incl pocketmac who don't seem to react on any request/email)
