"Billing Info" loop

Whenever I try to buy a new song, I'm asked to comfirm billing info. I do, and it's accepted, then I go back to the song I want to buy, and I'm asked to confirm again.

What's going on? Why won't iTunes let me spend my money?!

My frustration continues on this topic although I have tried everything suggested. There are actually several loops I run into. When trying to purchase music I am directed to my account where it asks for my security code for my CC - but it never saves it so I am continually looped back into the security code section when attempting to purchase.

When I go into myitunes, as suggested by Katrina (I think) I am prompted to enter address information but it does not save it, telling me that an error has occurred and I have been logged out. The address I have is correct btw, but it asks me to update it anyway.

Long story short is that support has told me that if these steps don't fix the problem then I need to use I Tune gift cards. Which you also cannot buy online if you experience these "loop" problems.

I wouldn't agree that this issue has been closed or resolved in any way.

So, I tried to buby a song, and it says to type in my Apple ID and password. I've changed it about 7 times, with no luck. Whenever I type in my password it either says it was typed incorrectly, or it just loops me back to re-typing my password. Why hasn't it accepted my new password??

I tried to see if my other password for the whole computer was valid by checking software updates and it was fine. Why is iTunes acting up? And are they really two different passwords to the same Apple ID for iTunes and your general computer?

Thank you...

Unfortunately, this and the above have not helped me. I called PayPal when the transaction was "not authorized" and they said that they had no record of the transaction and there is no problem with my account. I updated my information in the Apple store and saved it. iTunes recognized that the data had changed the next time I logged in and had me confirm it, including the county. Still no luck. Apple isn't even sending the information to PayPal even though I verify and confirm the billing agreement every time.

On another note, I can't believe that iTunes has NO phone support, even for billing. This is ridiculous.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading all the posts because I've been having the same problem. I received an itunes gift card for 15.00 and redeemed it successfully. Next to my sign on name it says in a box 15.00. I emailed Itunes support who told me to update my Itunes (which was already updated, so obviously that wasn't the problem), I also tried every fix listed on this forum, none worked. I just got off the phone with apple support. The rep told me that in Canada gift cards cannot be redeemed for apps, because apps are considered software. Apparantly a law exists that does not allow Canadians to purchase software online using a gift card. I'm pretty upset, because I don't use Itunes for anything other than apps for my iphone and now I have no way of purchasing them.(My one and only credit card is not updating properly on my profile - asking me for a valid security code which I already entered). This is just a heads up for everyone so they don't waste more time, I'm going to be contacting customer relations, I think they should be informing customers in Canada that this is the case before selling Itunes gift cards. I'll keep you posted!
