iPhone 2.0 - Error -9838

Folks,

My iBrick is stuck on a -9838 error after attempting to upgrade to 2.0. It states that "we could not complete your itunes store request." Almost the second you plug it in, it states that there is a 9838 error and refuses to go any further. I've heard that the trouble is on Apple's end (a failure to allocate enough bandwidth), but would I be well-served if I just keep trying to re-connect, or is the error in my phone?

Your help is appreciated.

Just a heads up, I don't think that all of our phones are bricked forever.. i've been unplugging and re-plugging my phone to my computer and on my 5th or 6th time the phone is now accessing the iTunes store. There's a good chance that it'll time out but at least it's not that unknown error... right?

Lets not lose our minds here! Phones are super important this we know (especially considering I don't have a landline in my apt!! lol @ me) but now we know for next time to maybe wait a day or so to update 🙂 Hope all your issues get resolved!
