iPhone will not sync to Outlook 2007 after 2.0 & iTunes 7.7 update!
I've searched for answers everywhere and have found nothing! It shows thats it's syncing my contacts and calender but when I open Outlook nothing has changed. Please help!
A couple of days ago I ran the diagnostic tool when syncing itunes with my new iphone, and i sent the diagnostic results to Apple support. Hopefully, this helps them in getting this critical issue resolved. Just paid a lot of money (and stood in line for a long time) to get this phone, and basic/simple functions such as reliable syncing between iphone calendar and outlook calendar needs to be fixed ASAP. I live off of being able to make changes to my calendar throughtout the day, and this is ridiculous that any changes I make to my iphone calendar screws up the entries in my outlook calendar. The reason I switched this past weekend from Treo to iPhone was because of the iphone's simplicity as well as realibility. As far as I'm concerned, the syncing problem gives Apple a failing mark. Realible syncing is basic functionality that should not be causing us so many head-aches. I'm patient, and I believe in Apple and I'm willing to give them time to fix it. But I sincerely hope they are working on this as a TOP priority. I'm patient for now. But please Apple fix this ASAP.
Has anyone recieved an answer from Apple Support. My Iphone will not sycn the calendar like everyone else and it takes around 15 minutes to sync. I dont' want to go through saving anything to a .csv file, etc. Let me know
My iphone was completely wiped out when I updated to new iphone software. When I try to sink it to my computer itunes freezes and I am unable to do anything. I have no way of adding my calendar, my itunes, or worst my contacts to my phone! Nightmare!!!! Now I am unable to recognize any calls as they come in, or make any calls to friends.
Have tried EVERYTHING, including vesting approximately 6 hours of the two IT guys in my office, and nothing. The best answer I can get is, they will figure out the problem at some point, and for the moment I am out!
Does anyone know about this or have suggestions?
I'm having the same issue of not being able to sync the calendar; I can't get entries to go in either direction. I've tried to reset the sync, disable third party apps in Outlook, sync only with the 'Outlook Calendar' (which caused the 'Home' calendar on the iPod to disappear) -- so far nothing. I'm not interested in trying the more dramatic solutions above until it's clear that they really work consistently.
Brilliant!!! Until Apple can come up with a perfect fix it seems as if your solution of entering appointments to your iphone as recurring events with both the start and end date being identical is working perfectly. I want to thank you so much for taking the time to post your solution it is going to help me a great deal. Kudos to you!!!
Great wire around that just worked for me on the test appointment I created on the iphone. However, I can't remember all the appointments I created on the iphone that I need to make this change to in order to get them to show up in Outlook. By the way, the old iphone created apptments DO show up in Outlook Today, and in the "Active Appointments" view, if this provides any clue to why this is happening.
Good to know I'm not alone. Here's my issue. I deleted the Home Calendar. I can sync from Outlook to iPhone, but not from iPhone to Outlook. However, here's the weird part, if I go into Outlook and search for the "unsyncd" event from iPhone it shows in the search but NOT in the calendar.
Its possible you don't even have a home calendar listed in outlook. I know I don't which is why this is so confusing. To be sure, In outlook under the Go menu, click 'folder list' do you see home calendar now?
What a mess - I am having all the same issues - 3 calendars listed now - and not ONE had the meeting I was supposed to attend today! Is there any way to back off of this version - iphone and laptop version? I have having to print out a PAPER calendar just to know my real schedule.
