iTunes 7.7.1 Outlook Sync solution?

I just did an Mac software update and noticed itunes 7.7.1 download. Has anyone with Win XP found it and if so does it solve the Outlook Sync Client failure problem with iPhone 2.0?

7.7.1 has also fixed my Calendar sync problem. Everything else on my phone has worked brilliantly except syncing calendar appointments back from the phone to Outlook. 7.7.1 has fixed it. I found I did have to edit any existing appointments that were created on the iPhone (I had about 6 or so) and add some additional note but after that, they all sync back to Outlook AND appear in the Calendar Day/Month view. Yee-ha!

The sync appears to be running much quicker too.

Bezüglicher der Synchronisation mit der neuen Version 7.7.1 von iTunes stelle ich folgendes fest:

- Normale Kalendereinträge werden in beiden Richtungen korrekt synchronisiert.
- Bestehende wiederkehrende Erreignisse (z.Bsp.

Ebenfalls sehr unbefriedigend.

The relative synchronisation with the new version 7.7.1 of iTunes I determine the following:
- Normal calendar entries are correctly synchronized in both directions.
- Existences recurring Erreignisse (e.g. frame of birthdays) in the Outlook are still synchronized around one hour shifted. Thus uselessly.
- Recurring Erreignisse on that the iPhone to be provided, is correctly synchronized.
- Existing contact contacts from the Outlook have partly (probably during the summer time - CEST) around one day a shifted birthday on that iPhone. Likewise very unsatisfactorily.

I also updated iTunes and i've got the same problems, like before. My 1. Generation iPhone 8 GB doesn't sync back from iPhone and I get tripple birthdays (1 with 1 hour different time)and trippe dates on my iPhone from outlook 2007. After sync there were dates missing in my outlook 2007. It's horrible, I need my iPhone in business and there is no reaction from the company, called Apple!!!
Does anybody know, if there is a solution???

HERE IS SOMETHING CRITICAL TO TRY:

I just got off the phone with Apple support. The synching issue is tricky and requires someone bright to fix it... but fix it we did!

Steps:

Go to SETTINGS

Go to GENERAL

Go to INTERNATIONAL

Make sure your REGION FORMAT is set to the "United States" (if you are in the US). Somewhere along the line, iTunes set my REGION FORMAT to "English" Anyway, now everything works well with my Calendar.

Try it... I hope it works for you, too!

YES!!!! iTunes 7.7.1 solved the problem for me. Syncs both ways, all the reoccurring appointments are syncing to the phone (only some of them were synced before). Appointments seem to be showing in all calendar views, too. I'd had a strange anomaly before - for three weeks in April a reoccurring event listed an hour later than all other weeks. The event must have been corrupted. It didn't show up at all on the phone this time till I reset the occurence info on the Outlook calendar. Now it is fine.

NO!
I just updated iTunes, I uninstalled the old version first ... after trying to download the new version twice last night, it froze up both times, then I went to bed. I tried again this morning and it supposedly downloaded successfully, but then when I opened it it said I needed to reinstall iTunes. so I uninstalled it and then downloaded the new version. And?

And now, not only does the calendar not sync which was my problem before, now the contacts won't sync. Nothing from the iPhone transferred. I still have multiple calendars in Outlook, and to top it off, I can't load any audio since my iPhone is nearly full -- but it's with "other" -- not photos, no audio. What is going on?? I've nearly had it. I used to love my iPhone. Now it's a pain in more than the a**.

HELP! Please! 4 hours with tech support....special product specialist and no one could get my 3G to synch with outlook on my PC running XP. Then aftrer re-installing everything miraculously all synched perfectly for a couple of days. After not synching for a couple of days I opened iTunes - noticed the new update - downloaded it - plugged in the phone and BINGO....same issues - multiple "OutlookSynch Client.exe" errors, Syncli.exe errors and nothing synchs - iTunes will run for hours trying to synch and nothing happenns. I uninstalled iTunes - re-installed and still nothing works.....
