Para todos os Portugueses que estão a utilizar a Vodafone e estão a ter problemas no Update da Operadora telefónica, agradecia que tentassem fazer as seguintes operações:
For the other guys around the globe, I would like to give the same advices I gave my pals here in Portugal. Here they are:
- Try to complete the Carrier Update on a different computer;
- Also, try to do a full Restore to your iPhone (actually this fixed my problem, which was exactly like yours);
If my steps didn't work, I'd recommend to wait as my carrier advised me to do the same, as they didn't know anything about the Update in question!
I'm getting this problem with t-mobile in NL. A Restore fixed it for me, that is until the next time I plugged my phone in, and the problem came right back
It is bungling work. I agree it seems to be the same path as MS. I have in 20 years of Apple use, never had such a disappointed experience. The 3G has a GUI that is marvellous, but the changes (dockconnector- USB/Firewire -> USB, battery loading problems, apps only Apple authorized, etc. it is ???. Formerly I had a Nokia N95. That functions a lot better than the iphone 3 G.
I hope that Apple can solve the problems the coming month. When this isn't possible I sell my iPhone.
I had this message
"iTunes could not update the carrier settings on your iPhone. An unknown error occured (0xE8000001)."
I made a Restore rather than Update in iTunes and update successfully.
